Legal information
Cookie and external-content policy
This page explains the limited browser storage used by British Mobile Tyres and how live Trustindex reviews are kept optional.
No advertising cookies are intentionally set by this website. The live Trustindex widget is loaded only after you allow external reviews.
1. Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small files placed on a device by a website. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site remember a setting. Some storage is strictly necessary for security, administration or a feature you request; other storage requires permission.
2. Storage used on this site
External-review preference
We use the local-storage key bmt_external_reviews to remember whether you allowed the Trustindex review widget. It contains only a yes/no preference and remains until you clear site data or change the preference. It is not used to identify you or measure advertising.
WordPress, hosting and security
WordPress and the hosting platform may use strictly necessary cookies or temporary technical storage for logged-in administrators, security, caching and requested site functions. Public visitors are not asked to create an account on this website.
3. Trustindex live reviews
Trustindex is an external service used to display live Google review information. Its script is not loaded until the reviews area approaches the viewport and you have allowed external reviews. Once loaded, your browser connects directly to Trustindex, which may receive technical request information and may use cookies or similar technology under its own policy.
You can read Trustindex’s cookie information without enabling its embedded widget here.
4. WhatsApp and external links
The availability form prepares a WhatsApp message in your browser. WhatsApp is contacted only when you choose to open or send that message. External websites have their own cookie and privacy practices.
5. Changing your preference
You can also delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may affect a requested feature, while choosing “Essential only” keeps the Trustindex script off and leaves a direct text link to the reviews.
6. Contact
For questions about this policy, call 0330 122 6797 or use the contact page.
