Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible for your information

British Mobile Tyres is responsible for the personal information it collects through this website and its enquiry and booking channels. You can contact us through the contact page or by calling 0330 122 6797.

2. Information we may collect

• Your name, telephone number and other contact details you choose to provide.
• The vehicle location or postcode, tyre size, registration number and details of the tyre problem.
• Enquiry, booking, payment and communication records relevant to arranging or supporting the service.
• Basic technical and security logs created by the website host, such as IP address, browser information and request time.

Please do not send information that is not needed for the enquiry. The website form uses the details you enter to open a pre-filled WhatsApp message; you choose whether to send it.

3. Why we use information

• To respond to enquiries, check tyre and fitter availability, provide booking information and take steps requested before a service is arranged.
• To coordinate an accepted booking and communicate changes, relying on the booking relationship or steps requested before it.
• To keep appropriate business, safety, fraud-prevention and service-quality records where this is necessary for legitimate interests or legal obligations.
• To load optional external content, such as the Trustindex reviews widget, when you give the relevant permission.

4. Who we share information with

We may share the minimum necessary information with an independent fitter who is considering or accepting the job. This can include the location, tyre and vehicle details, contact number and relevant safety information.

We may also use hosting, communications, payment, IT support and professional service providers where necessary. When the homepage map approaches the viewport, the self-hosted Leaflet map library is loaded from our website and your browser may connect to OpenStreetMap to retrieve map tiles. OpenStreetMap may receive technical request data such as your IP address and browser details. If you choose WhatsApp, your message is handled under WhatsApp/Meta’s terms and privacy information. If you allow the Trustindex widget, your browser connects to Trustindex to retrieve the live review display. We may disclose information where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. International processing

Some technology or communications providers may process information outside the UK. Where data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use an appropriate legal mechanism or rely on another permitted basis.

6. How long information is kept

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry or booking, customer support, accounting, safety, dispute handling and applicable legal obligations. Different records may therefore have different retention periods. When information is no longer needed, it should be deleted or anonymised securely.

7. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your information, object to certain processing, request portability, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. Some rights have legal limits. Contact us using the details above to make a request.

You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to address the concern first.

8. Security and children

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet service can promise absolute security. The service is intended for people able to arrange vehicle services and is not directed at children.

9. Updates

We will update this notice when the service, suppliers or law materially changes. The current date appears at the top of this page.
